About Us

Welcome to Root 73, a community arts organisation anchored around a physical community arts hub and Recording Studio based in Hackney. 

Launched in February 2016, Root 73 was built by and for the local community. Our approach places heavy emphasis on community activity and on the social importance of working together for a common goal, while also bringing together all the necessary elements needed to help artists break into the music industry from their nascent stages of development.

Our projects include ‘The Silhouettes Project, ENNY, From The Ground Up apprenticeships, and many more.
